Africano reggae star Majek FASHEK tenha sido definido como um poeta e um profeta e se tornou um dos mais importantes cantores e Africano possuído de um estilo único. Majek Fashek sempre cantado a partir da alma, sempre se referindo às lutas sociais e políticas do seu país na Nigéria e ao exercício da liberdade. Fashek tornou-se um dos mais venerada do reggae music, por vezes, em comparação como Alpha Blondy e Lucky Dube e ocupando um lugar entre os principais expoentes do gênero.
O reggae Nigeriano apareceu em 70. se tornou popular com estrelas como Majek Fashek que sua versão do Resgate Song, por Bob Marley, alcançou um sucesso sem precedentes para o reggae, na Nigéria. Como muitos nigerianos reggae estrelas mais tarde Fashek sido por algum tempo na banda Os matadores, que viajou e registrados continuamente desde meados dos anos 80 e inícios dos anos 90. Posteriormente, outros músicos de reggae floresceu como Jerri Jheto papai showkey, Ras Kimono e em Londres, MC Afrikan Simba.

Sly & The Revolutionaries - Don't Underestimate The Force, The Force Is Within You (1977)
Começando com os Skatalites, jamaicano gravações largamente giraram em torno de uma piscina flutuante escolha dos melhores músicos da ilha e os produtores foram topo exortando os revolucionários, em meados dos anos 70. Mas a importância do grupo estende muito além do fornecimento de música para muitos clássicos raízes; revolucionários apoio faixas música jamaicana dominada quando dub, a base da mistura cultural, tornou-se um fenômeno generalizado reggae.
"Não subestime a força, A força está dentro de você" foi o título de uma edição limitada incrivelmente raro LP por Sly e os revolucionários, que surgiu cerca de 1978 ou início de 1979 a tarde sobre a J & L rótulo (data de 1977, relativa à manga é claramente errado).
Existem dois Dubs de Gregory Isaacs músicas, para montar um Radway Jimmy Leroy Smart's "Mãe Liza" lançadas anteriormente cerca de três anos anteriores, e os habituais Channel Uma seleção de remakes de Coxsone Dodd músicas. Cada faixa foi intitulado após um versículo da Bíblia.

Paragons - Golden Hits (Treasure Isle)
O Paragons, que, juntamente com contemporâneos como o Heptones e Ken BOOTHE, ajudou a definir o som que levou Rocksteady transitório de reggae ao ska, teve um impacto sobre o desenvolvimento da música reggae que estava fora de qualquer proporção da sua produção gravada.
Além de tais locais hit singles como "Use-o para a bola" e "On the Beach", que gravou a versão original de "The Tide Is High", que viria a ser um grande hit americano de Nove anos.
"Golden Hits" inclui todas essas pistas, bem como uma série de outras pedras preciosas, todas elas, figuram a Paragons' patenteado bom harmonias vocais e os ritmos de rock-solid Tommy McCook Soulsonics da banda, excelentemente produzido pelo lendário Duke Reid em Treasure Isle seu estúdio.
Tal como acontece com tantos álbuns na Lagoa editora, este é um de legitimidade duvidosa - que reproduza exatamente o clássico Treasure Isle álbum "On the Beach", embora aqui o programa termina com "Equitação Alto sobre uma Windy Day" (que a Ilha do Tesouro lançamento inclui quatro faixas adicionais). primeira banda de reggae australianaEsta banda foi formada no Centro de Estudos em Música aborígine em North Adelaine. Era um pub rock banda muito popular entre os estudantes e, em alternativa à cena musical, especialmente apoiados pela comunidade radioemissora 5MMM. A banda fez o filme "lado errado da estrada" com outra faixa de CASM, Us Mob. O filme é sobre os altos e baixos que experimentou na sua nativa bandas e contrastantes excursões boas-vindas que receberam em indígenas e nonindigenous. Com o lançamento da trilha sonora, n. morada fixa e Nós Mob são listadas como as primeiras bandas a ser gravado na contemporaneidade indígenas.

Oku Onuora - Dubbin' Away (rel. 1999)
Um excelente companheiro para um I Tell, que abrangeu Oku Onuora material da década de 70 e anos 80, Dubbin «Fora abrange canções desde os anos 80 e 90. Tal como as faixas de um Tell me, aqui as músicas não são muito facilmente disponíveis noutros locais, a partir dos álbuns Bus Out (de cerca de 1990), um movimento (de cerca de 1997), bem como a pressão e Largar o dub do eu uma Diz o "Wi um Venha." O melhor Dubs Queda de Pressão está aqui - "Dub Pressão" e "Dub Sketches" -, e enquanto as outras músicas não são tão bons como estes (as duas primeiras, em especial), eles certamente organizar os seus próprios.
